Ingenuity now to Manage the Chicago Arts Educator Forum
The Chicago Arts Educator Forum, or CAEF, has become a part of Ingenuity. The transfer of management from Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE) to Ingenuity was announced at Ingenuity’s Fall Partner Meeting on September 13th to applause from the audience of more than 250 arts partners, funders and CPS staff.
“We were very happy that when the time came to find a new home for CAEF and its great mission of bringing together, in a truly collaborative environment, arts educators for personal and professional development, that Ingenuity was excited about the possibility of becoming that home,” said Amy Rasmussen, Executive Director of CAPE.
CAEF is a membership organization made up of arts administrators from around the Chicago area. They gather twice a year for professional day-long forums to discuss timely topics, working together to provide professional development and networking opportunities to advance and invigorate the field of arts education.
“We are excited to add the Chicago Arts Educator Forum to the list of Institutes that Ingenuity provides to the arts education sector. When we were first approached with the idea, we knew that Ingenuity was the perfect fit to continue managing CAEF. Amy and the staff at CAPE have done an incredible job with building, developing and growing this organization and we are honored to continue their great work,” said Mary Ellen Messner, Ingenuity’s Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Previous CAEF forums have focused on “Discovering Resources and Exploring Possibilities”, “Community, Creativity and Collaboration”, “Partnerships in Action”, how “Change Creates Opportunity”, and “Defining the Chicago Way”.
