Continuing the Chicago Arts Learning Initiative (CALI), our work is driven by the expertise, insight and critical thinking of our four collective impact panels: data & research, public affairs, outreach and partnerships & professional learning. Our panels are comprised of a wide array of exceptional leaders in the arts, education, youth development, data, policy, higher education and citywide planning.
Utilizing their expertise, Ingenuity co-designed two broad-reaching, interconnected strategies to help schools and community arts partners address the goals of the CPS Arts Education Plan.
The Creative Schools Initiative is the centerpiece of our strategy work with the District. It anchors the CPS/Ingenuity public-private partnership and is a broad strategy for internal change at CPS. The Initiative has four interconnected components:
This multi-layered set of incentives and accountability measures is aimed at driving decision-making in the arts.
Ingenuity's Professional Learning opportunities support the work of the hundreds of community arts partners who provide services to CPS schools each year. Institutes, Summits, Learning Tracks and webinars focus on educating and preparing external arts and cultural partners to more effectively align their work with the CPS Arts Education Plan. Programs and events are aimed at helping partners to distribute their programs more efficiently and equitably across the district.
