The Teacher Cohort Academy offers teachers a structured pathway to collaborate with their school colleagues as well as professionals in the fields of archaeology, Egyptology, curation, artistry, engineering, and museum education while exploring STEAM subjects in the ancient world through various primary sources including artifacts, historical archives, narratives, and authentic research data.
Teachers should apply in a team of two, preferably of different subject disciplines from the same school. Chicago Public School (CPS) teachers at middle and high school level are given priority.
Teachers who are selected will participate in the program for free, and will receive 30 Clock Hours (formerly CPDUs) or 2 Lane Credits. Each school will receive up to $100 reimbursement for teaching supplies for the program.
Deadline to apply is Saturday April 30, 2016.
