This exhibit, co-presented by the Weinberg/Newton Gallery, is part of the Snow City Arts 20th Anniversary series A Room Without Walls. One year, six shows, two decades of Snow city Arts!
Among its many roles in providing high-level arts education in hospital settings, Snow City Arts provides the opportunity for children and young adults to have one-on-one workshops with professional artists. Our incredible team of teaching artists, whose media include visual arts, music, creative writing, theater, and media arts, meets the students at their different levels, working with students at the very beginning of an arts journey, or with those who are ready for more advanced techniques and challenges.
What is unique about this Teaching Artistry Exhibit is that it highlights the work of our own teaching artists, rather than showcasing only the work of their students. Because our work is done in the very discreet and private setting of the hospital, we are pairing the works of teaching artists and students to provide a glimpse of the teaching process. Set side by side the works are in visual conversation with one another, providing viewers with a way to see the inspiration, influence, and innovation that occurs in every Snow City Arts workshop.
THIS EVENT IS FREE!
Join us on June 8th for the opening of the exhibit! 5-8PM at the Weinberg/Newton Gallery.
