The Auditorium Theatre is thrilled to announce its Celebrating America Student Matinee Series. Experience the creativity, artistry, and diversity of 3 unique American performances. As a part of this series, we are excited to welcome back Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah.
Returning for its 10th year, this joyful and exuberant version on Handel’s beloved oratorio will once again pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Chicago Reader says, “Too Hot to Handel is your grandmother’s choral classis sliced, diced, spiced, swirled, swung, amplified, and totally reinvented.”
K-12 groups are welcome! You will also receive a FREE Classroom companion that includes activities to help align the performance experience with common core learning.
Tickets are $10/ person, and there is a one-time $10 service fee applied to each group order. Everyone, including chaperones, must pay the admission fee. Seating for all student events is assigned on a first-paid, first-seated basis, and we are now taking reservations!
If you have any questions, or want to make your reservation, please call the sales office at 312-341-2357, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
