Ingenuity's day-long Advocacy Institute will provide both new and seasoned advocates with opportunities to learn how they can effectively advocate for arts-positive policies at the community, district, state and national levels.
- Local, state, and federal policy updates: Receive briefings on the State of the Arts in Chicago Public Schools, the ESSA Arts Indicator, the PWR Act/Career Pathways in Arts & Communication, and the economic impact of arts organizations
- CPS Arts 101: Refresher session on the role of the CPS Department of Arts Education. Meet the new Director, and learn about new developments that you can support
- Training on how to leverage your craft and your story to advocate for arts education programs within your school by engaging both elected and appointed officials, such as Local School Councils, school boards, aldermen, and legislators at the state and national level
