Developmental Stages and Trauma Informed Approaches to Dance Education: Learning to Empower All Students

Educators of all kinds are adopting a trauma-informed approach in their classrooms. This approach not only addresses the prevalence of childhood trauma, but promotes empowerment and agency in all students. The workshop will give an overview of personal and systemic trauma, explain how it impacts children at the developmental stages, and demonstrate how a trauma-informed approach can be applied to an arts curriculum.
