Reimagining School: Why Creativity and Innovation Matter features Dr. Yong Zhao and Linda Keane. Each a critical thinker and groundbreaker in our country’s education landscape, Dr. Zhao and Ms. Keane will engage in a dynamic, unrehearsed conversation about the ways in which schools can and must foster the creativity and innovation essential to our students’ global competence in a changing world. The conversation will be moderated by WBEZ Arts and Culture reporter Alison Cuddy.
Dr. Zhao, who was born and raised in China and is now an author, speaker, and researcher at University of Oregon, argues passionately in his work for cultivating independent and innovative thinkers for an increasingly global and technological world. Ms. Keane is an architect, designer, and professor at the School of the Art Institute and co-creator of NEXT.cc, a free eLearning resource that nurtures creativity and ethical imagination.
