Alexander Sanchez Claudio (he/him)

Development Associate

Alexander is passionate about the power of arts education and the role that philanthropy can play in expanding access to meaningful creative experiences. A development professional with experience across the arts, social services, and higher education, he brings a strong background in donor stewardship, fundraising operations, database management, and relationship support to his work. As a trilingual professional with a background in international relations, Alexander is particularly interested in using his skills to help mission-driven organizations strengthen their impact and serve diverse communities.

Alexander joins Ingenuity as Development Associate, where he supports the organization’s fundraising efforts with a focus on donor database management and development operations. Prior to Ingenuity, he served as Development Services and Stewardship Associate at Center on Halsted, where he supported donor portfolios, stewardship communications, database reporting, and development operations to support the Center’s mission to secure the health and well-being of the LGBTQ people of Chicagoland. His experience also includes research at the University of Chicago and fundraising leadership at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he supervised and trained student callers, or student development officers, and supported the university’s annual fundraising efforts.

Drawn to Ingenuity by its commitment to equity and access in arts education, Alexander sees his role as an opportunity to apply his development experience to a mission he finds personally meaningful.

Outside of work Alexander finds joy building community and connections through his interests as a proud supporter of Chicago’s theatre and drag communities, and an avid Pokémon Go player.

“It's the imperfections that make something beautiful. That's what makes it different and unique from everything else.”
